We are looking for an energetic and personable Brand Merchandiser who can clearly communicate the benefits of our AV products to our retailers and their staff. In your company car, you’ll be travelling around the UK becoming the go-to person for Store Management and colleagues to call upon in the event of any display issues or requirements and to deliver necessary training
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, you will be providing merchandising and training support to the dealer network and promoting the sale of our AV products. You will represent Yamaha and act as an interface with dealers and dealer staff, providing regular store visits, product and promotional updates and conducting regular in-store merchandising activities.
Liaise closely with the AV Mass Market Sales Representative and the Product Specialist and provide regular feedback and visit reports
Support, educate, coach and enthuse retail store colleagues and help them to maximise sales opportunities
Ensure store colleagues are up-to-date with the latest product information and product training by communicating the features, advantages and benefits of the entire AV range
Establish a monthly call plan, whilst maintaining the flexibility to be reactive to given circumstances.
Complete comprehensive and detailed reports to provide insight to retail activity
Check & report on local store inventory to highlight sales trends and any shortages
Ensure that the store displays are clean, working and that P.O.S and ticketing is accurate & compliant
Check on local status of any agreed Yamaha promotional activity and report back any issues
Resolve issues professionally and promptly during store visits and provide follow up contact with Store Managers to ensure any issues are fully resolved
Create reports and analyse customer’s reactions to the Yamaha brand and its products/demonstrations
Take photos of each store visit to support any relevant reporting and analysis
Identify and optimise additional opportunities to grow the Yamaha brand in specific store’s i.e. event days, additional display space and feedback
Support product launches and ad hoc activities
Ensure personal product knowledge is up to date at all times and is able to carry out effective ‘consultative’ demonstrations
Collaborate in planning and attendance of exhibitions and other product events
Attend the monthly sales meeting, preparing and presenting updates and feedback to the AV sales team.
