The integrated universal controller inside all HDANYWHERE MHUBs and its control application, ‘uControl’, have been granted a patent by the UK Intellectual Property Office. Central to HDANYWHERE’s patent is the process which makes setting up a control interface effortless - requiring no prior training or technical knowhow. Technical protections include the system’s communication with the HDA Cloud, ultra-low IP-to-IR processing latency times (almost indistinguishable from direct remote control) and its unique method to dynamically redraw the control interface based on the mobile device the user is controlling.
These innovations are now a standard feature in all HDA MHUB matrix models and with the release of their new API it is possible for any third-party control systems to hijack and utilise the MHUB’s I/O to enhance the reach of control.
Chris Pinder, HDANYWHERE Founder said of the patent: “Our product category has become a very homogenous place, so protecting the uniqueness of uControl was very important to us. We can now have the confidence to continue to invest in, and improve, the platform that gives us a definite edge over the competition.”
