ECLIPSE, the Japanese high-performance loudspeaker specialist, will be making its Hi Fi Show Live debut this month with a system that perfectly complements the event’s high-end ethos. The Kobe-based specialist will be demonstrating one of its best-rated loudspeaker and subwoofer combinations, the TD510ZMK2 floor-stander (£3840) and the TD520SW subwoofer (£3000), at the Windsor event.
The dynamic pairing will be on demonstration throughout the weekend (November 10th and 11th), giving attendees the opportunity to experience the myriad benefits of ECLIPSE’s unique ground-up engineering and many proprietary technologies.
In addition, ECLIPSE Europe’s London-based team, Senior Manager Hideto Watanabe and Sales Manager Paul Burnip, will be on hand to answer questions, offer advice on the ECLIPSE range and give tips and tricks on all aspects of loudspeaker set-up and positioning.
ECLIPSE will be in the Buckingham 1 suite, hosted by the company’s UK distributor, Decent Audio, who will be constructing an extraordinary high-end system around the TD510ZMK2 and TD520SW, one that’s big on performance yet perfect for the typical UK room.
The ECLIPSE speaker and sub combination will be partnered by a Dual CS 600 turntable with a van den Hul DDT-II Special phono cartridge, Audio Analogue AAphono phono stage, plus both Ayre Acoustics’ EX-8 and Audio Analogue’s new valve-based Pegaso amplifiers.
About the TD510ZMK2 loudspeaker
The TD510ZMK2 showcases a number of proprietary ECLIPSE technologies, including the unique egg-shaped form with its innovative vibration-eliminating airtight design, a custom full-range drive unit (10cm) and the pioneering diffusion stay and mass anchor features.
Available in both floor-standing (TD510ZMK2) and stand-mount versions (TD510MK2) in black, white and silver, the five-star-rated speaker offers the benefits of advanced Japanese design and engineering in a compact and affordable package. The stand-mount version can also be wall- and/or ceiling-mounted (with the CB1 bracket, £80) enabling true Hi-Fi sound with a discreet presence in a number of rooms throughout the home.
A high-performance subwoofer designed with music firmly in mind, the TD520SW uses comparatively small diameter (20cm) dual drive units that can be driven at high speed. The back-to-back drive units are connected with a strong aluminium shaft and ‘float’ inside the cabinet; special materials are also used to suppress vibration.
The TD520SW uses a compact ICEpower-made high-output digital power amplifier which enables a smaller internal circuit while keeping high linearity at maximum output. Two input systems are provided with an independent audio volume and low-pass filter for use in two- and multi-channel modes. All operations, including input selection, can be performed using the supplied remote control. The TD520SW is available in a stunning piano black finish.
