After a successful event at the Cornflake showroom in July, the third CEDIA® Designing the Connected Home event will take place on Thursday 19th September at the Ideaworks Experience Centre in London, giving design and build professionals the opportunity to learn more about smart home technology and how it can be integrated into interior design.
Aimed at architects, interior designers, and property developers, the event will feature a CEDIA CPD presentation on Designing the Connected Home, which will be closely followed by a home cinema demonstration in the private cinema room, as well as a detailed tour of the Ideaworks showroom. This includes the user interface and keypad room, window shading room, specialist lighting room, and daylight space showing many techniques for bringing light into basements.
The Designing the Connected Home CPD is accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), and explores the design and installation of technology in the connected home. This CPD will explain why good design is so essential in the connected home and the possibilities for integrating technology in future projects. By the end of the CPD attendees should have a greater understanding of why architects should be discussing technology with their clients and the possibilities for technology in projects and the associated processes.
Technology Integrator and CEDIA member, Ideaworks, has been operating in the industry for more than 30 years, working closely with designers and architects to deliver incredible installations across luxury homes, yachts, and venues. Its dedicated London Experience Centre is a collaborative space, bringing together a wide range of products and services that allows visitors to experience the technology first-hand.
Everyone who attends this event will be in with a chance of winning a private movie night at the Ideaworks cinema for you and three friends! To enter, just bring along your business card on the day.
The Designing the Connected Home event will be taking place twice over the same day, from 2-4 p.m. or 6-8 p.m. To find out more about the event and to book your place, visit: http://www.cvent.me/V0brM.
