It has been announced that the next presenter to tackle the CEDIA Awards taking place at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter on Friday 29th September, will be none other than Martin Bayfield, former rugby player for England, and body double for Harry Potter’s Rubeus Hagrid.

Martin has enjoyed a successful international career as an England rugby player, winning 31 England caps and two Grand Slams, as well as being selected to represent the British Lions in New Zealand. Since his retirement from rugby, Martin regularly presents for BT Sport and ITV and makes frequent corporate event appearances. He has become known for his charismatic personality and ability to capture the audience. Martin has hosted The World’s Strongest Man, covered the Rugby World Cup for ITV, and appeared as a regular presenter on BBC1’s Crimewatch. Playing Robbie Coltrane’s body double as half-giant, Rubeus Hagrid, Martin is known for his involvement in the Harry Potter films as well as his role as a cyclops in Wrath of the Titans.

Matt Nimmons, Managing Director, CEDIA EMEA commented: “As an accomplished presenter, we’re delighted to have Martin on board to host the CEDIA Awards this year. His well-known humour will take centre stage at the event, whilst his previous involvement in the Harry Potter films series will provide some amazing behind the scenes insight. We’re looking forward to what is set to be a spectacular evening.”
