With trade visitor attendance up by 30% on 2016’s event, Alltrade’s September Trade Show 2017 has been hailed as an outstanding success.
Alltrade MD Steve Simper commented: “With the growth in our CI portfolio attracting more AV and home automation installers, our partner exhibitors used this year’s event as a platform to launch a wide range of new products. Combined with our core brands showing UK-leading ranges of IRS and fibre signal equipment, the Trade Show is gaining in popularity every year.”
With over 30 exhibitors showing more than 50 brands in a single hall, the event has become a one-stop shop for TV signal distribution and CI installers in the South of the country. Held at the Epsom Downs Racecourse with easy access to the M25, the Trade Show drew in trade visitors from all across London and the Home Counties.
The event’s sponsors, TRIAX, Antiference and Global Invacom all used the Show to springboard a raft of new products to market. Main sponsor TRIAX, unveiled new 4K HD modulator that is able to use an existing coax network to distribute UHD sources as 1080p, as well as a new range of Sky Q multi-switches (4-way, 8-way and 16-way).
Antiference showed off a range of products including its new third gen Conexer DMHD01R. This modulator adds a HDMI loop for a local set, IR control and USB port for USB media. The company also demonstrated the TruColour Neo HDBaseT matrix, with HDCP 2.2 and on-board CEC control system.
Global Invacom has been a long-time supporter of the Alltrade Trade Show and this year used the event to demonstrate how its range of products can be used to distribute Sky Q over a fibre network thanks to its new Gateway termination Unit. The company also showed a fibre optic LNB which can distribute to a 32-way switch, ideal for multi-dwelling buildings.
HDL took to the Epsom event to demonstrate its whole house smart home control system and smart lighting controls using its own dedicated smart keypads in a range of colours and styles. Just across the crowded hall, one of Alltrade’s Technical Sales Executives Mark Bartlett was introducing Ubiquiti’s range of Unifi access points. Delivering robust Wi-Fi coverage around the home with a full browser interface and monitoring, the system is ideal for installers wanting an effective, easy to maintain Wi-Fi solution.
New to the Alltrade Trade Show this year was Hikvision. With the brand’s portfolio of innovative IP and hybrid CCTV products now available through Alltrade, the company used the event to show off its single-wire POE CCTV cameras and DVRs.
The event’s seminars on the issues surrounding clearance of terrestrial TV from 700MHz frequencies were well attended with over 100 visitors sitting in on the two sessions. Ben Roome, CEO at Digital Mobile Spectrum Ltd, underlined the opportunities for installers from the move and the and potential issues with new services entering the spectrum interfering with DTT signals.
The Alltrade Tradeshow 2017 saw a growing number of brands exhibiting to new and existing Alltrade customers alike.
