Custom installation providers Asheridge Communications have added the DVI matrix routers produced by PureLink to their product lineup. Featuring built-in RS-232, LAN ports and computer control software, these versatile video switching units can be easily integrated into an existing system and allow displays to be controlled externally.
PureLink’s range spans the relatively simple 2:1 HDTV router intended for home users, right up to the commercially-geared DS-1818M, for control of complex arrangements consisting of up to 18 or more displays.
If in doubt, ask those responsible for maintaining some of the famous displays seen in New York’s Times Square, the signage used to promote Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, plus the US Army and Air Force, all of whom have been known to utilise PureLink’s technology. As Kevin Swanton, Asheridge’s UK sales director explains, “In terms of the commercial application of Purelink’s routers, they’re still unique. There’s really nothing else on the market that offers the same level of flexibility in image control whilst at the same time proving solid enough to be used in varied environments.”
