PROJECTING A FAVOURABLE IMAGE

One of their prestigious iF Product Design Awards has been bestowed upon the company's VPL-FX40/FE40 projectors, following a two-day consultation among judges that took place last month.
Over 2,771 entries from 35 different nations were submitted for the competition, with Sony ultimately picking up a gong in the Audio/Visual category.
Winners of the awards have to demonstrate design quality, workmanship, choice of materials, degree of innovation, environmental sensitivity, functionality, ergonomics, visualisation of use, safety, brand value and aspects of universal design.
Speaking of the product's success, Sony Senior Product Marketing Manager Josh Honda stated that, “We are delighted to have received this renowned award in the Audio/Video category and see the innovative design of this projector recognised...to have an iF Seal of Design Excellence, which will stay with the projector throughout its product lifecycle, is a great credit to the unit's design team.”
