When converting an auditorium belonging to the INTECH Science Centre located near Hampshire into a high-spec, fully-digital planetarium, the Haywards Heath-based integrators made use of six F30 SX+ DLP projectors.
When combined, these are able to produce an overall resolution of more than 8-million pixels on the internal surface of dome-shaped space measuring some 16.5m across. Complementing this set-up is LED cove lighting, stage spotlights and audience floodlights, all controlled via Global Immersion's proprietary wireless theatre control and management system.

Speaking of the company's involvement with the new INTECH facility, projectiondesign Marketing & Communications Manager Anders Løkke noted that, “We're justifiably proud to be involved in an application of such importance...this is a specialist application. You cannot simply deliver six boxes to the client and then walk away. Global Immersion appreciates out personalised approach to customer support and we look forward to working with them on many similar projects around the world.”
