NAD’s New Digital Dock of Distinction
Published: Wednesday, January 16, 2013
Canadian constructor of sonorous superiority, NAD, has announced the introduction of its new VISO 1 Digital Music System, an inspired design combined with some of the most sophisticated audio technologies available.

Compact and easy to use straight out of the box, with no wires or complicated set-up involved, the innovative precision ‘ring’ (no sniggering at the back!) design allows you to mount (I said no sniggering!) and operate an iPod or iPhone in a completely natural way, without compromising Apple’s well thought out ergonomics. You can even take or make a call when an iPhone is in the cradle.

After plugging in the power cord to a household outlet, simply connect wirelessly or dock it in the rotating cradle, select the choon of choice and hit Play. When docked the supplied remote handset allows users to start or stop the music, skip tracks and adjust the volume from the comfort of their chair.

Integrated Bluetooth reception allows any enabled device to integrate with the VISO 1, allowing wireless integration of the Touch, iPhone and iPad, as well as Android and Windows-based smartphones and tablets – virtually any handheld device can stream music to VISO 1.

Featuring NAD’s Direct Digital technology, first introduced in the ground-breaking top-of-the-line Masters Series M2 Direct Digital Amplifier, the VISO 1 offers two major advances in iPod music systems: 1) it plays the music stored on your iPod in its native digital form, completely bypassing the limiting audio circuits of the iPod, and 2) the processing power inherent in Direct Digital technology allows the speakers to be optimised for sonic performance.

Available now in either Black or White finishes, NAD has also just slashed the price of the VISO 1 by £100, meaning this striking hunk of audio heaven can now be had for just £399!
