Among those that walked away with honours at this year's Plus X consumer electronics awards held in Cologne, Germany were Monster Cable, who saw four of their products recognised across several categories.
Honoured in the 'Design' category were their impressively-built 'Beats by Doctor Dre' active noise-cancelling headphones, produced in collaboration with the titular hip hop artist and producer. Scoring in the 'Innovation' category meanwhile, was the company's Advanced HDMI cables, with their different speed-rated versions, use of high quality components and gold contacts apparently winning over the judges.

Picking up an 'Ease of Use' gong was the Monster 'Advanced HDMI High Speed 3-Way Switcher', most likely due to its infrared remote learning function, ability to enable simple selection of up to three different 1080p sources and versatile, compact design. Finally, rounding off Monster's haul was the iCarCharger 200, which garnered both an 'Innovation' and an 'Ease of Use' award for its simultaneous playback and charging of almost any iPod model and integrated 3.5mm jack, providing a superior means of transferring audio output to an in-car sound system than on any FM transmitter.
