Featuring architecture based around 21 Victorian arches, extensive conference and events facilities and equipped with the very latest advanced presentation and communication technology, the Vinopolis is likely to make for a distinctive, yet apt backdrop to the event.
2008 marks the first time that the CEDIA Awards will be put on as standalone event, separate from the main CEDIA Expo, which is scheduled for June at London's ExCeL conference centre. CEDIA Chairman Simon Williams commented that, “We're really excited to be giving the awards a dedicated focus this year. We hope that by having the event in the wonderful surroundings of Vinopolis, it elevates the awards to the next level and will demonstrate how highly we think of our members and their considerable achievements.”

As well as the introduction of new categories aimed at showcasing the higher end of the market (including 'Best Marine Installation' and 'Best Integrated Home over £250,000'), another first at this year's ceremony will be the participation of an as yet unnamed celebrity, who will handle presentation duties. Tickets for the black-tie event (which will include a sit-down dinner and entertainment) are priced £95 plus VAT per person or £850 plus VAT for a table of ten. Companies have until March 20th to submit entries for consideration.
