Featuring four floors packed with the latest and yet to be released offerings from the biggest names in the industry, the event's organisers will no doubt be hoping to continue their tradition of securing some notable exclusives.
In the past these have included the launch of Sky HD, LG's unveiling of its Blu-ray player and the chance for members of the public to get some hands-on experience of Sony's PlayStation 3, four months ahead of its launch.
Attendees at this year's show can look forward to such attractions as Panasonic's record-breaking 103” plasma TV, on display at the Stuff magazine stand. This 1080p, 2 million pixel model is new to the UK and comparable in size to a queen-sized double bed, making it the largest HD screen of its type in the world.
Another certified crowd-puller is likely to be Apple's much-feted iPhone, in the first major public unveiling of the device ahead of its UK launch on November 9th. Those prepared to brave the inevitable queues will get the chance to enjoy some hands-on experience of what is so far shaping up to be the product launch of the year. Also present will be Nokia, introducing their N800 Internet Tablet device, which aims to make comfortable web browsing on the go a reality, with its 800 x 480 touchscreen, 128MB of RAM, flash memory and WLAN connectivity.
Naturally, there'll be a cornucopia of treats on display from dozens of other well-established names including Cambridge Audio, Epson, LG, Denon, NAD, Pure Digital and Sony. Visitors to the Marantz display room will even be in with the chance of winning the entire demonstration system that the company will be showing off, a state of the art home theatre system worth more than £8000.
It's not all necessarily about the new, however - those going are encouraged to bring their old, obsolete mobile handsets, which will be exchanged for cash at the event as part of a noble recycling initiative. All in all, it promises to be an exciting three days for both industry types and punters alike.
