It’s that time of year once again, when the movers and shakers of the CI industry prepare to descend upon Amsterdam’s RAI Centre for the annual Integrated Systems Europe trade show.
Taking place from 3rd to 5th February, this year’s event promises to be even bigger than ever, with more than 500 exhibitors displaying their wares across seven halls, and organisers confident that attendance figures will top the 25,000 mark.
Size aside, other additions to look out for this year include a new
Residential Solutions Area in Hall 9 which is sure to interest some of you, and a dedicated Digital Signage Zone occupying Hall 12. As a sign (no pun intended) of just how much this nascent sector has grown over the past year, the latter will be accompanied by the Digital Out Of Home (DOOH)
business conference.
Running parallel to ISE, this will see presentations from numerous advertising agencies, and give delegates the chance to network with system integrators, location owners and brand managers. There will also be the opportunity to brush up on your technical knowledge by taking part in training and education programmes hosted by CEDIA and InfoComm International, while the evening of the 2nd will see the winners of the EMEA+ InAVation Awards 2009 announced over the duration of a champagne reception and three-course meal at Amsterdam’s Hotel Okura.
But for many of you, the main point of business will of course be the vast array of gear, gadgets and systems that the major CI players will be unveiling. Here then, are our tips on what’s worth checking out on the show floor …
