Consumers on the look-out for new flatscreens despite the recent recession
According to the report, in November 2009 UK consumer searches for brown goods overall exceeded the 20-million mark – that's a jump of almost 5-million on October's figure, and an increase of 7-million compared to September.
Accounting for a third of the searches carried out were MP3-players, personal video players, audio and iPod products (with Apple and Logitech the two names that stood out from the crowd), but with a 13% share (2.7-million searches) the term 'Televisions' was the most popular brown goods query by far. Its next highest rival, 'iPod', trailed far behind on 9%
