Numerous luminaries from the rock world were in attendance at an awards ceremony organised by Classic Rock magazine at London’s Park Lane Hotel earlier this month.
Ozzy Osbourne, Jeff Beck, Slash and Peter Green were among those honoured on the night, and four of more than 20 artists – with others including Ronnie Wood, Jack Bruce and Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie and Mani – who added their signatures to a pair of bespoke airbrushed Platinum PL300 loudspeakers, donated by Monitor Audio.
The autographed loudspeakers will be auctioned off at a future Classic Rock event, with all proceeds going to children’s charity Childline.
Marketing Manager for Monitor Audio, Michael Johnson, commented that, “The event was incredible and we are especially pleased that some of the evening’s big winners took the time out to help us all try and raise a great deal of money for a very worthwhile charity.”
