Audiophiles from across the country are gearing up and packing a flask as they head west to Bristol for the biggest AV show this country has to offer – Sound & Vision the Bristol Show. A team from SVI will be in attendance and we look ahead to the show with bated breath…
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Sound & Vision the Bristol Show’s inception and as with the first event 25 years ago the who’s who of the audio industry will be heading to the show to display their wares to the crowds of audiophiles who bring with them a keen eye and an even keener ear.
Over the 25 years it has been in existence the show has gone from strength to strength and has now cemented its place as the focal point of the AV calendar. So once again people will flock to the Marriott City Centre Hotel in Bristol between Friday 24th and Sunday 26th February to see and hear all the latest technologies on offer from some of the biggest names in the field.
The event, which is organised by Audio-T in association with Sevenoaks Sound & Vision and What Hi-fi Sound & Vision, is hoping to draw in the crowds despite difficult trading conditions and a serious sense of doom hanging over the industry. One positive sign for the show, however, is the sheer number of exhibitors making their way to Bristol this February. A total of 85 exhibiting companies will be showing off 187 brands for the delectation of the gathered crowds.
As the fanatical audiophiles, industry professionals and savvy consumers fill the corridors of the Marriott Hotel, capriciously choosing which rooms to saddle up to next and sit in awe of the sonorous delights on show, our industry is provided with the opportunity to show off its expertise. So as you arrive in Bristol be sure to say hi to the SVI team and whilst you’re there why not check out these companies and what they have to offer…
Quadral
One of the companies looking to catch the eye in Bristol is quadral and they’ve something to shout about too. Quadral GB & Ireland, a part of the Total Admin-SkySat Limited group, has been recognised by the German Hi-Fi and Home Cinema speaker manufacturer as their distributor of the year, beating 30 other countries for the prestigious title awarded for the marketing and promotion of the quadral, Aurum and Aurum Electronic brand names.
Volker Schwerdtfeger, Managing Director for quadral GmbH export, said: "Our partnership with the UK and Ireland team has been outstanding, especially with regards to exhibitions and shows, press, media and brand awareness. Re-introducing our brand into the UK at the start of 2011 was a major investment and one that is already paying off. Our UK and Ireland distribution partner has also helped influence our brand awareness worldwide too and in this respect we owe our thanks to the team with this award and record of achievement.”
