NIKO’S MARATHON MAN

On November 1st Niko Uk’s very own Paul Dall’Occo will be braving the winter weather to take part in the ING New York Marathon.
Paul will be running to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, an organisation very close to his heart after providing both Paul and his wife, Fiona, an incredible level of help during Fiona’s treatment for breast cancer earlier this year. Her prognosis is very positive with the first yearly check proving all clear.
The choice of New York was pretty simple as it is somewhere that Fiona has always wanted to go, and the plot to run the marathon was hatched by three friends on New Years’ Eve, as Paul says, "after the second bottle of port…"
Needless to say, by the morning after there were only two runners left! Paul (and his poor dog) have been in training for some months now, and having lost over two stone since beginning training, Paul is in fine shape for the challenge ahead.
