Shoreditch plays host to four Sony BRAVIA World First LCD TVs...
Created by artist Paul Cocksedge, the installation concept was based upon the R.G.B lights within television. Titled ‘R.G.B’, the display comprised a red, a green and a blue light being shone separately from one side of the venue, with all three lights meeting at a white dot that directed view towards the LCDs.
Capturing the moment further, BAFTA award-winner Tal Rosner created a short film of the leading 'World First' moments to have been displayed on TV, such as the landing on the moon and the first four minute mile.
Christian Brown, TV Senior Product Manager, Sony United Kingdom Limited, commented, “It’s been a privilege to work with Tal and Paul on this project. The interactive installation creates an impact, it encapsulates the core principles of the world first televisions – in its design, clarity, innovation, its futuristic look and use of light.”
Available now, the four World First models are the world’s thinnest (ZX1), fastest (Z4500), world's first wireless picture frame (EX1) and the world’s first OLED to reach the European market (XEL-1).
