Affable Geordie CI enthusiast Dave Slater is a well known name in the world of custom installation and is also a friend of the magazine here at SVI towers. Seeing as custom installation is Dave’s raison d’être he is looking to enhance the industry and make it easier, more productive and more profitable for all those working within it – he’s nice like that. That is why he will soon be launching the Inside CI website which will act as an online resource for all of you working in the industry.
Dave Slater commented on the launch by first giving us a potted history of Inside CI: “Inside CI started its journey with SVI, Dave Slater was lucky enough for the Editor to take his rantings to heart, allowing Dave to write a popular column called Inside CI which followed Dave and his company DSE Digital on his Custom Install jobs. Over the last couple of years Dave has started to bring his knowledge to help others in this exciting market, and after another brainwave Inside CI web site has been launched to bring back the install community and to bridge the gap between all the separate distributors, manufacturers and great installers.” He further added: “We are here to grow, learn and even change to become a great resource for the UK custom installer, so we welcome any ideas from all our members.” For further developments on the website keep your eyes locked firmly on the SVI or contact Dave directly, contact details can be found on page 32 of of your latest SVI magazine.
