Futureglass, the British manufacturer of contemporary glass furniture – including a fine range of Hi-Fi and AV supports – has been awarded ISO 14001 accreditation, the international standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS), by the British Standards Institute.
ISO 14001 is the key international standard in the ISO 14000 series, and specifies a process for controlling and improving a company's environmental performance.
Futureglass's Managing Director, Gareth Phillips, said: "We're delighted to have achieved registration to this world-class standard. Sustainability is a priority for Futureglass. By documenting all of our processes and identifying how we can put environmental considerations to the fore in our design, purchasing and manufacturing, we can demonstrate our commitment in a formal way.
"Our customers can feel confident that Futureglass products, which are designed and manufactured in Britain, meet requirements for sustainability and reinforce their own commitment to the environment," he added. "It's also a tribute to our employees who have worked so hard to reach and maintain the demanding standards."
