New categories announced for CEDIA Awards 2011
Now open for submissions, the CEDIA Awards 2011 has seen the introduction of a ‘Technician of the Year’ category, which will look to reward individual installers that have succeeded in consistently producing work of an exceptionally high standard. As well as this, the ‘Best Multi-Dwelling Installation’ category has been renamed ‘Best Multiple Scheme for a Property Developer’, and some revisions have been made to the ‘Best Integrated Home’ categories to reflect the increasing spread of total project values across that part of the industry. There will now be three such categories, designated ‘under £30k’, ‘£30k - £100k’ and ‘over £100k.’

Open only to CEDIA member companies, the closing date for entries to the CEDIA Awards 2011 will be Friday 14th January 2011. As in previous years, a black tie presentation ceremony will take place approximately three months later on April 8th, the venue of which is yet to be announced.
