Awards season is in full flow in the CI industry and the next set of awards that will have industry insiders clambering over themselves are the Crestron Integration Awards 2011. Before the ensuing saturnalia of the award giving can begin however those that wish to be considered for recognition need to contact Crestron and put themselves forward for an award.
These awards are for authorised Crestron dealers and projects that fall within the remit of the following categories:
• Best Integrated Home System (displaying the best use of Crestron Total Home Technology)
• Most Distinctive Digital Media™ Installation (awarded to great projects featuring this new technology)
• Home Sweet Home Cinema (amazing home theatres)
• Brilliant Lighting Control and Design (Crestron lighting applications)
• Most Extreme Makeover (eye-catching retrofit projects)
• Ultimate Connected Home (best integrated home – below €500k)
• Ultimate Connected Home (best integrated home – over €500k)
• Best High Rise Living (apartment, loft or studio integrations)
• Best Marine Project (yacht)
• Most Innovative Control Solution (AV, Lighting and HVAC)
• Most Creative GUI (open to programmers & CAIPs – inspiring programming)
• Best International Crestron Home (international property, outside of UK)
To be eligible a company must be an authorised Crestron dealer and nominated projects must have been completed between 1 January 2010 and 31 May 2011.
Petra Van Meeuwen, PR Manager at Crestron UK: said: “We are very proud of the work that our integrators are completing and the Crestron Integration Awards gives us the chance to recognise and reward some of these astounding projects,” Entries must be received before 31st May with the winners being announced at the Home Technology Event 28th – 30th June.
