With 48 stores across the UK and an impressive 30-years in business, specialist retailer Richer Sounds has made a bid to deliver its low-price business model and buying power to a larger number of customers, by purchasing the EmpireDirect.co.uk website from administrators KPMG.
To smooth the transition for current Empire Direct customers, a package of benefits is planned, including assistance with the manufacturer’s warranty on most AV products previously purchased from Empire Direct, for all brands currently stocked by Richer Sounds.
In addition to this, former Empire Direct customers will be entitled to special offers available to Richer Sounds VIP club members and credit vouchers will be provided on any un-expired EdXtra membership fees paid. A help page has been set up to assist former customers where this is possible.
David Robinson, Richer Sounds Chairman, commented: “We are sure this will be an exciting new chapter for the company and look forward to expanding our commitment to value and customer service through our stores and online”.
