AWE UNVEILS NEW COURSE

Published: Monday, September 21, 2009
Distributor AWE Europe has announced details of its latest training course.
Delivered in association with Arcam and KEF, 'Selling AV to the iPod Generation and Acoustic Design' is a training double bill that approaches not only the realities of selling to the devotees of this popular, portable player but also how to maximise a system’s audio delivery with real world acoustic design.
The day consists of two sessions lasting approximately three hours each. One half will see Arcam take a step away from the technical and move towards the aural, focussing on what sounds can actually be achieved. The iPod is now a de-facto music source in many households, and the manufacturer will demonstrate how digitally compressed music stacks up within a high-end AV system.
The other half of the day will be devoted to giving an understanding of room acoustics and how audio performance can be enhanced using real world considerations, rather than complex mathematics and measurements. It has been designed to help installers specifiy the right speaker type, positions and give consideration to room design and how this can affect the overall sound.
AWE holds regular training covering its various brands and products. These sessions, which are held at AWE’s training facility at its HQ in Epsom, Surrey are always highly attended.
Forthcoming dates are as follows and take place at AWE’s HQ in Epsom, Surrey:
