AMX GOES IT ALONE

Global AV control specialist AMX has announced that RGB Communications will no longer act as distributor for its range of control systems and AV switching technologies.
Prior to this news, RGB had been distributing AMX products in the UK and Ireland; now, all AMX customers previously supported by RGB Communications will be supported directly by AMX UK.
Commenting on the changes to the UK distribution, Kevin Morrison, AMX Europe’s Managing Director, said: “AMX has a great relationship with RGB Communications and they have been a great partner. However, AMX has grown dramatically in the last five years and our product portfolio, increased service and support offering are a challenge for traditional distribution partners. AMX has simply elected to address this by expanding its own sales team in the UK and Ireland from 2010, and I am confident our customers will be delighted with the result.
“This is an issue of timing and market maturity,” he added, “and we wish the team at RGB Communications every success going forward.”
