Six employees take on the National Three Peaks Challenge for charity
The challenge kicked off on Friday 4th June at 6pm at the foot of the UK’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis – all 1344m of which the team were able to ascend and descend in just under 8-hours. Next stop was the Lake District for the tackling of Scafell Pike commencing at 5am, another 978m both ways. Following a tense minibus ride to Wales beset by traffic delays, they were then able to reach Snowdon’s 1085m-high summit ahead of their deadline of 6pm Saturday 5th June.
Team member and Graphic Designer for the company, Laszlo Gyongyosi, commented that, “This terrible disease affects so many, and we are all proud to help raise money for Cancer Research UK, towards their research and cure efforts.” At the time of writing, the team are three-quarters of the way towards reaching their goal of raising £2000 for Cancer Research UK and are welcoming further contributions – anyone wishing to make a donation can do so at www.justgiving.com/3peaksNW.
In addition to Gyongyosi, the team included:
Carol Butterworth-Cowell, Office Furniture Product Manager
Chris Melia, Product Designer
Dan Lewis, Product Designer
Joanna Pietras, Logistics Co-ordinator
Petr Faitl, E-commerce Manager
plus designated driver Alan Thorpe, whose daughter Amy works at Alphason as an Administrative Assistant
Our congratulations to them all.
