A FOND FAREWELL

All things must pass - Editor Elizabeth Sharp says goodbye to the AV industry. But, before she does, there's someone she wants you to meet...
For the past six years, SVI has been a shining beacon in our industry, bringing you every key piece of information and all the hottest products you've needed to keep your business on the best possible footing. We've witnessed some changes over the years, have adapted to an industry in flux and continually demonstrated why we are the leading resource – with the ABC certification to prove it!
Change can be good, of course. In 2007, I had the privilege of becoming Editor and have had the opportunity to guide this illustrious title in what I hope and believe have been new and exciting directions; but, as they say, all good things must come to an end. Off to pastures new outside of the AV and custom installation trade, the task now falls to me to introduce the individual whose more-than-capable hands I will be leaving you in. And when it came to appointing a successor, there was only one possible choice...
Casting his watchful eye over every issue, Jacob Stow has been the power behind the throne for both previous Editor, Hamish McNair-Wilson, and myself, and it is therefore with great pleasure that I announce that he has stepped into my tiny size four shoes. Jake is on hand as of now to receive your calls and emails, and will endeavour to continue the good work – I have no doubt that things will only get better.
As my last act I will be attending the CEDIA Expo on Thursday 25th June to say my goodbyes and officially hand over to Jake.
