Borrowing much from its sublime bigger brother, the DSP-Z11, the 7x 140W channel DSP-Z7 AV amplifier offers the same high-quality performance at a significantly lower price point.
Sporting no less than five HDMI inputs and two outputs, the Z7 can deliver audio and video to up to four separate zones: video quality is bolstered by analogue and video upscaling to 1080p, while the all-encompassing processor takes care of the sonic side of things. In terms of connectivity, USB and Ethernet connections allow for digital video streaming, and there are plentiful standard phono and HDMI ins and outs. iPod users can also stream their audio via a Yamaha iPod dock, and control the iPod with the Yamaha remote at the same time.
With massive power transformers and huge power reserves for effortless sound, backed up by quality processing chips and components, the DSP-Z7 is a mightily impressive option all round.
