New from the company that, back in June, launched the world's first LED DLP projector, is the H1080FD – a 1080p home cinema projector. Available through RAPESCO AV at a recession-beating price point, it nevertheless offers high-performance digital projection suitable for any home cinema environment, with 1800-lumens brightness, a contrast ratio of 4000:1 and an array of connectivity options – including dual HDMI – all packed inside a stylish white shell.
Other features include a 12V trigger, used to synchronise a motorised screen with the switching on and off of the projector and a DLP chipset from Texas Instruments, which ensures digital images don't fade or degrade.
Energy efficient with 3000–4000-hours eco lamp life, the H1080FD retails at around £850, and could well tempt an increasing number of homeowners to take the projector route to HD entertainment.
