New from TEAC is the CR-H258i, a compact iPod docking CD Micro Component Receiver with a USB/SD/iPod interface. Capable of playing virtually any type of music media, the model also benefits from a Tri-band digital tuner with preset station memory, clock and timer function, and a 25W + 25W amplifier, resulting in “spectacular yet succinct” sound quality. Completing the CR-H258i's feature list are video outputs in both S-Video and composite video from an iPod docking station (available as an optional extra).
A comprehensive remote control, with the ability to control a docked iPod, completes the package, which is available in a black finish at £250. The DS-20 iPod dock, also available in black, is priced at £40.
