Distributed in the UK by Impact Screen Solutions, the new Galileo range of screens has been aimed at home cinema enthusiasts who are using anamorphic lenses to produce 2.35:1 Cinemascope images, while still using the full 16:9 panel within their projector.
Taking the 16:9 image from the LCD or DLP panel and stretching its width to display 2.35:1, the anamorphic lens maintains the full resolution and brightness, while giving cinematic feel. A dual motor electric screen with two projection surfaces - one surface is 16:9 ratio, the other is the wider 2:35:1 CinemaScope ratio, sizes range from 205cm wide (1.55cm in 16:9 mode) to 405cm wide (309 in 16:9).
Available now, the Galileo screens come in surface mount or in-ceiling variants.
