With the emphasis on image quality that is currently dominating the television market sound quality can often be over looked. Pandering to the consumer fervour for sleeker designs and more impressive visuals many people feel that audio quality is becoming the forgotten part of home entertainment – take the people at Roth for example.
Claiming to 'save your ears from mediocre TV sound' their latest audio offering – the Roth BAR 1 – is designed to match the slimline aesthetics of modern televisions whilst delivering the sound quality they deserve. Connection is made possible via one of two twin RCAs or through the 3.5mm stereo jack, meaning that the Roth BAR 1 can also easily hook-up to external media devices, whilst the additional subwoofer is wireless with a range of 9-metres.
The eponymous founder of the Roth, James Roth commented: “today's TVs look terrific, but tend to sound terrible. The BAR 1 backs up your crystal clear picture with crystal clear audio. At last, no more fiddling with the TV remote in an effort to hear exactly what your TV’s pretty pictures are actually saying.” The Roth Audio BAR 1 soundbar will be available in the UK from April 2011 at an SRP of £329.
