Now shipping via UK distributor Asheridge Communications is the Arteor Home Automation System from Legrand, a manufacturer of wiring devices, power distribution and cable management solutions.
Based primarily around the BUS/SCS connection standard, which utilises 2-wire, extra low voltage cables, the Arteor system encompasses lighting, heating and integrated door entry control, together with provision for an 8-zone multi-room audio system. Ready for use with an array of non-proprietary multi-room solutions (including those from Opus and Systemline) the Arteor’s key features include the ability to set all bulbs at 95% brightness to conserve energy costs and prolong bulb life; the option to configure heating temperatures for specific rooms throughout the house either centrally or from within the rooms themselves; and one-button control of external entrances, curtains and blinds mechanisms.
In terms of control options, Legrand supply an array of Arteor-ready switches in a wide range of styles and finishes - beyond that, end users can also make use of a web module and browser-based UI, plus a dedicated iOS app. The same functionality will also enable installers to carry out configuration and maintenance tasks from remote locations. Zigbee-based wireless control options are also available for retrofit installations.
Jonathan Rigby, Sales and Marketing Director at Asheridge, stated that: “We are delighted to be associated with Legrand, and be able to provide our customers with a fully integrated whole house automation system. We can offer full sales, configuration and programming support, with products in stock for immediate shipment. With the added bonus that Arteor is supported by a huge on-going R&D investment.”
