KEF KHT8005

KEF has expanded its popular KHT range with the introduction of a new Soundbar home theatre system – the KHT8005. Designed to complement today's sleek flat-panel TVs, its combination of attractive aesthetics and excellent audio quality look guaranteed to prove popular with consumers.

At the heart of the system is the new HTF8003, a 3-channel Soundbar in high-gloss black that produces the front soundstage from a single acoustically-inert aluminium enclosure. Each of the three channels comprises a three-way speaker system that packs KEF’s Uni-Q driver with a 75mm mid-bass driver and 15mm HF driver, a 75mm woofer and a 75mm Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) for optimised low-frequency output.

Sized to perfectly match flatscreens of 42-inches and over, the Soundbar is supplied with a wall-mount bracket and a table stand, ensuring it will slot into any set-up with ease.

Elsewhere, compact HTS7001 satellite speakers take care of rear-channel duties. Despite their diminutive stature, these new models offer impressive performance courtesy of dual 50mm woofers and a 19mm HF driver, and can be placed on a tabletop or mounted on the wall to match the Soundbar.

Of course, no home cinema system would be complete without a suitably power subwoofer, and the KHT8005 system doesn’t disappoint. Handling bass duties is the KUBE-2 sub, which features a powerful 200W Class-D amplifier and side-firing 250mm long-throw bass driver with complementary 250mm ABR. Its deep, well-defined bass can be tailored to a user’s personal requirements via an adjustable bass boost control, allowing the system to deliver a high-quality performance in a variety of room settings.

Available now, the KHT8005 carries a recommended retail price of £1099.
