US brand Hall Research, distributed in the UK by Tukans Ltd, has unveiled a new VGA/HDTV processor. Dubbed SC-VGA-2B, the device allows any PC (VGA) or HDTV (YpbPr) to be scaled up or down to any other PC or HDTV resolution format (from 480p to 1080p). Features include X-axis mirroring for use with teleprompters or rear projection screens, a video loop output connector and generous video memory provision, allowing for real-time frame capture and conversion with time-base correction. As such, the processor is suitable for a range of applications.
