New from Gefen is the EXT-WHDMI-COAX – a unit that uses the company's wireless technology to send an unspoilt HDMI signal over a single coaxial cable (BNC connector) at a distance of up to 250-metres. The product is particularly suitable for legacy installations where a coaxial cable is already in place and where re-wiring would be difficult and/or expensive.
The WHDMI-COAX set consists of one sender and one receiver unit, which in combination can transmit a pristine 1080p HDMI signal with multi-channel digital audio without any data loss or noise. The device is HDCP compliant and supports Dolby 5.1 surround sound.
