Due for release around November is a new in-wall touchscreen keypad from Cytech Europe. The monochrome LCD KT03 can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and comes equipped with a speaker, IR receiver, microphone and several status LEDs to indicate ‘home’, ‘armed’, ‘AC/battery’ and ‘new message’ conditions.
Programmed via a USB interface in tandem with Cytech’s Configurator software, the KT03 can be used to control and monitor devices and security zones in real time with support for C-Bus, KNX, Dynalite, Z-Wave, Velbus or Lutron systems, and act as an audio intercom when used in conjunction with Cytech’s Door Station interface.
According to LY Chiu, Director of Cytech Europe Limited, “The KT03 has been designed to provide a compelling and appealing user interface for the Comfort Security and Home Automation System, allowing the user to access its powerful capabilities more easily and to fill a gap in the market between a simple LCD keypad and the large, very expensive touchscreens.”
