They haven't. Instead, they have surpassed all expectations. For the past three months the votes have been pouring in from as far afield as Australia, Slovakia, India, Taiwan and Surrey. Being the possessive soul that I am, I have kept a tight rein on things this year, and I alone have had the pleasure of sifting through the votes – to say that everyone in SVI towers has been chomping at the bit to find out who has claimed victory is something of an understatement!

Looking at the response that we've had, it has given me great pleasure to see that our industry is very much alive and kicking, and keen to have a voice. This is what makes these awards so special, as each winner has been voted for by people in the trade – from manufacturers to retailers, installers and distributors. To show our appreciation for all of the winners, this year we will be handing out the awards in person, so be sure to watch out for our next issue when I'll be unveiling our plans. For now, though, let's concentrate on the winners, bask in their glory and celebrate the fact that we are all part of something truly special...
